The best tools I personally use to book holidays, save money, and travel smarter
Planning a trip should be exciting, not overwhelming. After travelling to different countries (and booking everything from spontaneous spa days to island ferries), I’ve built a toolkit of apps and websites I can’t live without.
Whether you’re booking a last-minute holiday, looking for fun things to do abroad, or just trying to save money on flights and transfers — this list will seriously help you out. These are my personal recommendations that I’ve used, tested, and loved.
— All-Inclusive & Last-Minute Holidays
If I’m in the mood to book a getaway fast, I always check On The Beach first. They offer loads of all-inclusive packages and last-minute deals, with flights and hotels bundled together. Super convenient and often super affordable!

This app is underrated! Trip.com is brilliant for booking flights and hotels separately. I’ve found it especially useful for last-minute travel, and the flash deals on both flights and hotels have saved me money so many times.

Kiwi.com helps you mix and match flights and accommodation with loads of flexible options.
They partner with Booking.com, so you get a great mix of choices, and I always
check their Deals section before booking anything — it surprises me every time.

If you’re shopping around for the best holiday package price, Icelolly does all the hard work for you. It compares offers from loads of trusted travel sites so you can find the cheapest deal that fits your budget.

Vrbo (Vacation Rentals by Owner) is a fantastic alternative to hotels, offering thousands of private rentals worldwide. Hotels.com is one of my favorite hotel booking websites, especially for spontaneous escapes. They have daily deals, excellent package offers, and a reward system where you can earn free nights. Many listings come with free cancellation too, offering peace of mind when plans change.

— Best Budget Airline for Cheap European Flights
If you’re building your own holiday, Vueling is an excellent budget airline for affordable flights across Europe and nearby destinations. LateRooms.com is a great place to find last-minute hotel bargains and hidden gems. They feature exclusive deals on everything from luxury hotels to cosy boutique stays and charming B&Bs, often at heavily discounted rates. I always check LateRooms when I need a quality hotel at a great price.

Whether I’m booking short breaks or long-haul flights, Skyscanner is always one of the first sites I check. Their price tracker is a game-changer — it alerts you when flight prices drop, so it’s perfect if you’re planning ahead.

— For Tours, Activities & Skip-The-Line Access
GetYourGuide makes planning your itinerary so simple. I’ve used it multiple times to pre-book tours, entry tickets, and day trips — whether it’s before my trip or while I’m already there. Great app to keep handy!

— Especially Great for Asia
Klook became my best friend when I was in Thailand. I booked most of my activities the night before, and every single experience was smooth, affordable, and well organised. From transfers to island hopping — I got it all through this app.

— Tours, Spa Days & Unique Local Experiences
I used Viator when I visited Turkey, and it was amazing! I booked a mountain tour in Antalya that was cheaper than booking in person, and everything ran perfectly.
I also surprised my boyfriend with a private spa experience I booked through Viator — it was romantic, relaxing, and such good value.

— The Best eSIM App for Travelling
Airalo lets you buy a local eSIM before or after you land — no messing with SIM cards or surprise charges. I paid just £15 for fast 5G data in Thailand, and it was working within minutes. Perfect for staying connected anywhere!

With the Avios app, you can collect points for British Airways flights just by shopping at your usual stores. I’ve built up points in just a few months, and they’re totally redeemable for flights and upgrades.

Hoppa is one of my favourite hacks when planning DIY holidays. I’ve used it in Turkey and Spain — their transfers are smooth, reliable, and way cheaper than many other sites. If you’re booking flights and hotels separately, don’t forget to sort your transfer here!

— The Ultimate Travel Card for Solo & Group Trips
Monzo is the card I recommend to anyone who travels. It’s free, super quick to set up, and comes with both a virtual card and a physical one. You can easily create saving pots to budget for your holidays — whether it’s a quick city break or a long-haul adventure.
