Stay Wellbeing & Lifestyle Resort Phuket Review
During my time in Phuket, I stayed at Stay Wellbeing & Lifestyle Resort, a calm and modern retreat tucked away in Rawai.
After exploring the busier sides of Thailand, this resort felt like a complete reset — peaceful, tropical, and beautifully designed.
Room
I stayed in a One-Bedroom Suite with Pool Access, and it was gorgeous. The suite was bright, spacious, and came with a kitchen, which was so useful for reheating meals or storing fruit and drinks.
The storage space in this room was amazing — the wardrobes were grand, stretching from waist to ceiling, with built-in lighting and mirrors inside, making unpacking easy and organised. There was also a large mirror in the bathroom and another full-length mirror just outside, perfect for getting ready before heading out.
The air conditioning was fantastic, and there was also a ceiling fan above the bed, which I used some nights to keep cool and avoid mosquito bites. Mosquitos can be very active at night, especially being near a pool, but a quick spray from 7-Eleven worked wonders.
The rooms are romantic and soundproof, and I didn’t hear a single guest during my stay — ideal for anyone who values privacy and peace.
The TV was nice and positioned perfectly for watching from bed, but there were very few English channels — mostly world news or a German sitcom — and no movie channels, which was surprising for a hotel of this level. It’s definitely something they could improve on, especially since the resort doesn’t have much nightlife or entertainment.
The minibar wasn’t great — nothing complimentary, and the bottles of water looked like refills, so I skipped them.
There’s also a 1,000 baht per night security deposit at check-in, refunded once they inspect your room at checkout.
Tip: Ask staff to remove the minibar items so you can store your own food and drinks. You can easily order water, groceries, or snacks to your room using the Grab app, which is super affordable and convenient.
Facilities
The resort grounds are lush and peaceful, filled with green trees, tropical flowers, and calm walkways — it’s truly a beautiful place to relax.
The gym deserves a special mention. It’s spread over several floors, each with a different vibe, and it’s easily one of the nicest hotel gyms I’ve seen. They offer modern equipment, group fitness sessions, Muay Thai training, and classes at very reasonable prices.
The only thing that disappointed me was how strict the pool rules were. Guests can’t use the pool after 9 PM, and the lights are turned off completely. Security even walks around to make sure no one’s in the pool, which felt overly strict for such warm evenings.
Food & Dining
I didn’t try breakfast or the main restaurant, but I did attend the rooftop BBQ buffet night at Chica Rooftop Lounge, which is connected to the hotel. The atmosphere was amazing — good music, great views, and a relaxing vibe.
The buffet was around 1,000 baht per person, including alcohol for two hours. The drinks service was a little slow, but overall, it was well worth it for the price, quality, and experience. This was actually the only rooftop club/lounge I visited in Phuket, and I really enjoyed it.
Outside the hotel, I highly recommend Aagri Tadaka Indian Restaurant Phuket and honestly, it was one of the best Indian meals I’ve ever had. The restaurant itself is simple and clean, not fancy, but the food is a solid 5/5 — packed with flavour and freshly made.
Location & Getting Around
The hotel is located in Rawai, a calm part of Phuket, perfect for relaxing but a bit far from the main tourist spots. The nearest 7-Eleven is about a 20–30 minute walk, depending on your pace.
The hotel sits off Wiset Road, which is quite long — but along it you’ll find fruit vendors, local snack stalls, and even a Super Cheap supermarket that’s great for stocking up on essentials.
Throughout the day and night, you’ll spot street food vendors selling fresh fruit, cakes, and local donuts, which adds a lovely authentic touch.
That said, most areas like Phuket Town, Kata, Karon, and Patong are roughly 40 minutes away, and Phuket traffic can be heavy, so plan your trips wisely.
There’s a cab station right outside the hotel, but I used the Grab app for most of my journeys — it’s cheaper, reliable, and even offers discounts and coupons the more you use it. I tried Bolt, but it wasn’t as good in this area.
Massage & Spa
The hotel has its own spa, which looked lovely and is reasonably priced, but guests can’t use the spa facilities unless they book treatments — something I wish they’d reconsider for longer stays.
I did try a local massage spot nearby, but it was cheap and quite poor. Instead, I’d strongly recommend taking a cab to Ton Mai Spa Rawai — I had one of the best massages of my entire trip there, and it’s very affordable.
If you’re exploring further, you’ll also find great massage places in Karon and Kata, especially near the beaches.
Tours & Activities
While staying here, I booked five tours through GetYourGuide, and I’d genuinely recommend all of them!
Here’s what I did and loved:
🏝️ Phi Phi & Bamboo Island Tour – Beautiful beaches and crystal-clear water with a delicious buffet lunch.
🛥️ Phang Nga Bay & James Bond Luxury Island Tour – Cruise through limestone cliffs and hidden lagoons (Check my experience of the day)
🍹 YONA Floating Beach Club Experience – Relax on a luxury floating club with cocktails and music.
🐠 Similan Islands Snorkelling Trip – Clear waters, coral reefs, and colourful marine life.
🥊 Muay Thai Boxing at Patong Stadium – High-energy, cultural, and unforgettable.

Vibe & Final Thoughts
When walking around the resort, I noticed that the main pools had more of an influencer vibe, perfect for photos and social media — but I personally loved having the privacy of my own pool access room.
The grounds are lush and full of greenery, making it a lovely place to unwind. However, it’s definitely more suited for relaxation than for sightseeing, since not much is within walking distance.
If you’re planning a long trip, I’d suggest spending the first few days here to relax, then moving somewhere more central to explore.
I stayed here for eight days before heading back to Bangkok, and overall, I’d definitely come back. It’s a peaceful, beautiful base, especially if you’re looking to unwind. Next time though, I’d probably skip the swim-up room — it’s lovely, but not essential.
